Mrs. Bessie Cope, 77 of Hillsboro Route 1, died Monday, November 6 1972, at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill. Born July 24, 1895, in Illinois, she was the daughter of Edward and Kathryn Fitzgerald Cowell. She was a member of Homer Chapter 930, Order of Eastern Star. Other survivors include five sons, Wayne Edgar and Harold Lloyd, both of Homer, Raymond Russell of Urbana, Ill,. Charles Alan of State Line and Donald Dale of Covington, a sister, Mrs. Effie Lenfant of Denville; two brothers, Jesse Cowell and Floyd Cowell, both of Westville, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held in Georgetown, Ill, with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery near Indianola. tch
